Hiatus?

Hello my dear 3 followers.

Things are a bit chaotic right now. Looks like we'll be moving in the next couple of weeks so life will be all about packing and unpacking for a while. This time we'll be moving to a house that I already love (belongs to a friend), so I hope this is the last move for us. Like ever.

I had that wedding in Miami and all the prep for it so I'm going on 3 weekends with no real doll work. I'm tired of doll crafts right now. I want to just dress them up and photograph.

You know I took this photo the other day with my crappy camera:













Not too bad right? Maybe I can learn to make nice photos with this camera after all...

    Good luck with your move. It sounds like you are moving to a nice place. And don't worry about having to take a hiatus. We all need to do that sometimes. Enjoy your bloggy break and we will all be here when you get back. :-)

    Good luck with the move! And like Chelle says, when you need a break, take a break! We all get burned out and/or bogged down sometimes. We'll be looking forward to your return whenever you're ready! :)

I haven't been feeling particularly inspired with stories in Grandville, but their plastic lives are being led, with or without my story telling. And I have to practice my photography so instead I'm going to do a Cliff Notes if you will, of what has been going on in Grandville and who all these new characters are. First up, Ayumi. I might give her a new name at some point. I hate keeping the Integrity name but sometimes it just happens. She is a Korean supermodel who uses her funds to support her research as an astrophysicist. She got her Ph.D. at 18. This is Ayumi's house. Well, one of them. This is Ayumi's boyfriend of 10 months, Raj Nirvana. He's a yoga instructor. They have a harmonious relationship. Grandville Summer Festival!

Hello doll friends, First up, I gotta show you this. My 4 year old was playing with my Barbie cast-offs and set up this little scene. (That yellow thing on the table is a TV shaped eraser.) Dig the lamp she made with a wedding cake and the pole from maybe a Barbie dress form? Adorbs. Anyway, this weather (raining pretty much daily for the last month or so) has wrecked my spray painting plans. Much of the royal storyline rests on this painting project. So for now I decided to continue the other stories I have going. Enjoy: "Ho-ly crap, what on earth are you wearing?" "Aw, Sook, I feel bad enough."   "Seriously. You are wearing khakis. New Goodies!

But first, some news: Projects: Still working on the studio space for Remi and Bailey. The Hubs came in and voiced what was in my head, "So where is that kid supposed to sleep? That's messed up. There's no room for him?"  The last thing I wanted in Grandville is a kid's room. I don't want this rated R world changing into something wholesome. Buuut, if there is to be a custody battle for Julian, I have to make the case, right? So on top of the studio space, I'll build a little room for the brat to use. Maybe I'll give it a fun theme or something. Space or sci-fi or something that doesn't involve sports. I'm also working on a space backdrop for Nymeria and her sister. Then I can finally introduce you. I decided to go with a sort of cheesy 60's sci fi movie thing. That's what inspired the Alurium Vaccarra anyway. So, a sort of intentionally cartoony backdrop.
