Sneaking in a Post

Well I did some redesigning around here. I'm trying to pay more attention to the Vita Plastica name in some effort to separate it from the rest of my life. I have a new Facebook page, a new email address. I was going to do a separate blog and try to convince you all to come over but I managed to work out having admin rights to this blog from my other gmail.

Anyway I realized I wasn't giving any props to my new blog friends in my frame, so I've added that, some funky fonts and if I ever figure out how to add a Facebook button...

Other dreams and projects: Do you guys ever watch Two and a Half Men? I find that show so funny in spite of myself. Anyway the mom Evelyn has a great condo. It's not my style, but you can just see it as a doll diorama project.

Okay I better go stop Iris from trying to bend Isobel like a Liv doll. Yes, even a 20 month old knows the virtues of articulation.

    Oh my gosh, I LOVE that show! I love Evelyn's apartment, I especially love the artwork in her place. A place like that would be FABULOUS for your girls!! Can't wait to see more. :)

But first, some news: Projects: Still working on the studio space for Remi and Bailey. The Hubs came in and voiced what was in my head, "So where is that kid supposed to sleep? That's messed up. There's no room for him?"  The last thing I wanted in Grandville is a kid's room. I don't want this rated R world changing into something wholesome. Buuut, if there is to be a custody battle for Julian, I have to make the case, right? So on top of the studio space, I'll build a little room for the brat to use.  Well friends, it's been 10 years!  I'm not sure if any of my older friends and followers still blog or still read blogs.  I've been in the BJD hobby all this time a while it was satisfying and helped me to grow a lot as a dioramist, the call of the 1/6 scale dolls called back to me.   It was hard to make stories for BJDs because of the limited number of characters and sets.  While I no longer have a town to make stories with, nor (hardly) any of my original dolls, my new collection continues to grow and some of them are just itching to tell you all about themselves.  But these heauxs don't even have names except for two.  So lemme get on that... Returning to this hobby feels a bit lonely. My doll community was here in the blogosphere, my BJD community was through youtube and Facebook. Introducing Ayumi

I haven't been feeling particularly inspired with stories in Grandville, but their plastic lives are being led, with or without my story telling. And I have to practice my photography so instead I'm going to do a Cliff Notes if you will, of what has been going on in Grandville and who all these new characters are. First up, Ayumi. I might give her a new name at some point. I hate keeping the Integrity name but sometimes it just happens. She is a Korean supermodel who uses her funds to support her research as an astrophysicist. She got her Ph.D. at 18. This is Ayumi's house. Well, one of them. This is Ayumi's boyfriend of 10 months, Raj Nirvana. He's a yoga instructor. They have a harmonious relationship. Still, she wonders about that girl Marie. They seem to do a lot of talking after his yoga class. Ayumi loves hanging out with her girls. Nothing quite as fun as a day of shopping.
