Rearranging

Hello all,

I trust you had a good weekend. I wish I had another day.

It seems to me that I have a terrible and wonderful addiction. Not to dolls, that's too obvious. But to rearranging furniture. I have total control over two rooms in my house. The doll room and the baby's room. For this reason, these rooms have been rearranged at least 7 times each.

There's just always a better way to organize! So much of my Sunday was spent rearranging these rooms. This is my excuse for not having more pictures for you.

But anyway. So I'm not sure if I've discussed this, but I'm growing wearing of Fashion Royalty. I am really never satisfied when I get one. The first ones I got were Kyori, Veronique and Natalia from that Exotic Fusion Collection. At first, when all you know is Barbie, they look really exotic and amazing. Then you realize they have crooked eyes, loosey goosey joints and this terrible hunch. I never thought I would do it, but I'm stealing their bodies. (Later when I learn to repaint, I'll get them some new bods).

So a couple of years ago, the hubs got me an Eve Kitten Surrealist. I love her body. These legs that go on forever and these sort of delicate hands. But she wasn't bendable. I put off rebodying her. Something happens to my girls when I give them new bodies. Their personalities change.

But as she figures more prominently in my stories, I had to do something. She can't stand ALL the time.

Okay so here she was. She was a half Japanese stripper from North Florida. That explains the outfit. She always reminded me of Jean Kasem. Are you guys familiar with her? If not, feast your eyes.
And here was Veronique in her cock eyed beauty:

I was amazed at how easy it was to remove an Integrity head! After the heating it popped right off. So now here is our Miho as a flight attendant posing with my new luggage:
Have I mentioned how much I love my new camera?

Really, why is Valia so expensive? Just put Eve Kitten on a different body and they're practically the same thing.

Anyway that's all for now.

smooches,
dani

Introducing Ayumi

I haven't been feeling particularly inspired with stories in Grandville, but their plastic lives are being led, with or without my story telling. And I have to practice my photography so instead I'm going to do a Cliff Notes if you will, of what has been going on in Grandville and who all these new characters are. First up, Ayumi. I might give her a new name at some point. I hate keeping the Integrity name but sometimes it just happens. She is a Korean supermodel who uses her funds to support her research as an astrophysicist. She got her Ph.D. at 18. This is Ayumi's house. Well, one of them. This is Ayumi's boyfriend of 10 months, Raj Nirvana. He's a yoga instructor. They have a harmonious relationship. Still, she wonders about that girl Marie. They seem to do a lot of talking after his yoga class. Ayumi loves hanging out with her girls. Nothing quite as fun as a day of shopping. Claire sighs, "How weird to have a bank account. ...

Grandville Summer Festival!

Hello doll friends, First up, I gotta show you this. My 4 year old was playing with my Barbie cast-offs and set up this little scene. (That yellow thing on the table is a TV shaped eraser.) Dig the lamp she made with a wedding cake and the pole from maybe a Barbie dress form? Adorbs. Anyway, this weather (raining pretty much daily for the last month or so) has wrecked my spray painting plans. Much of the royal storyline rests on this painting project. So for now I decided to continue the other stories I have going. Enjoy: "Ho-ly crap, what on earth are you wearing?" "Aw, Sook, I feel bad enough."   "Seriously. You are wearing khakis. You look cray cray. You're like somebody's mom right now. Please explain this situation." "My boss said my outfit was too sexy so I had to borrow something from Le Skater Dork over there at the cafe. Jeez, now I owe her one. Oh crap Channel 1 News is here."   "Thanks John. Lavita...

New Goodies!

But first, some news: Projects: Still working on the studio space for Remi and Bailey. The Hubs came in and voiced what was in my head, "So where is that kid supposed to sleep? That's messed up. There's no room for him?"  The last thing I wanted in Grandville is a kid's room. I don't want this rated R world changing into something wholesome. Buuut, if there is to be a custody battle for Julian, I have to make the case, right? So on top of the studio space, I'll build a little room for the brat to use. Maybe I'll give it a fun theme or something. Space or sci-fi or something that doesn't involve sports. I'm also working on a space backdrop for Nymeria and her sister. Then I can finally introduce you. I decided to go with a sort of cheesy 60's sci fi movie thing. That's what inspired the Alurium Vaccarra anyway. So, a sort of intentionally cartoony backdrop. The last project for now is my high school. I wanted it to be a three-...
