Meeting the In-laws

Meeting the in-laws is never quite easy for us flesh humans and it's the same in Grandville...

But first, an opening act:

So I dress Morgan in this outfit.

Then I hear this small voice going "Elmo? Elmo. Elmo!" I showed Isobel the doll to assure her it was not him, not even the right color but she persisted in mournful wails "Ewmo...ewmo...ewmo."  So I dressed a headless body in a pink fur, attempted to hand it to her and she ran screaming from the room. Oops.

Bianca Boulanger, sister to Josephine and mother of Remi and Nikki has come to Grandville to meet her new grandson.

"He's awfully light, are you sure he's Remi's son?"

Nikki: Mom!
Bianca: What, I'm just saying the kid is light.
Veronica: My father is Syrian. He looks like my grandmother
Bianca: Mmm, convenient.

Veronica: I think we'll go now. He's been traumatized enough for one day.

Nikki: Mom, what is wrong with you? You can't talk to people like that!
Bianca: Please, she deprived me of a grandson for five years. She's lucky I didn't claw her eyes out.

Later that evening.
Bianca: Well, I see you still can't grow any hair.
Josephine: I cut my hair short, Bianca. You know that.
Bianca: I'm just saying, a wig wouldn't kill you.

Bianca: Well I see just one month in your care and already my son is bringing home bastards.

Marie: ...so then I do this wicked stage dive and knock three of his teeth out!

Marie: Dude, thanks for letting me crash here...for a few weeks.
Dani: Oh um, of course! [weeks? thinks Dani]

Dani: After all, we'll be sisters soon!

Bailey: It's nice to meet you, Bianca.
Bianca: That's Madame Boulanger if you don't mind.
Remi: (thinking) Why did she wear a skull shirt and leggings to meet my mom?!

Remi: So here we are, me and my two best girls!

Strained silence.

In other news, my avatar doll arrived. She's not a total fright. And Iris couldn't wait to play with her. Hands off, kiddo.

She reminds me of Dionne from Clueless (Stacey Dash). Didn't Cher wear an outfit similar in Clueless?

The hair was pretty bad though. So experiment number one was a boiling water dip for the curly part in the back.

Went better than my expected. Or maybe it's just because her hair is wet? A good trim and we'll be on our way.
Look at that ridiculous chunk of straight hair in the front.  Why did they do this to her?!
So next I'll try to curl that hair. Stay tuned.

"Darling, you know the only reason they're going to stay tuned is to see more of me."

 Touche Madame Boulanger.

Smooches!

  1. Grandville NEVER disappoints! LOL...let's get that weak show Gossip Girls off the air and replace it with Grandville shenanigans. ;)

Wow, Bianca...I mean..."Madame Boulanger" is STUNNING! FR ladies really do make the most interesting and realistic looking characters.

    Loved it!

  2. hehehehe, "Weeks?..." XD I love it. And the new avatar looks pretty cute, I like your picture better than theirs, I think. I can't wait to see what you do with her.

And ooooh, Elmo.... what a disappointment! I can see how your wee one would be mistaken though!

  3. Madame Boulanger is a MESS! I've met quite a few women like her. Too funny. Looks like you've been getting a lot done. I like your Dynamite Girl. Looking forward to seeing her new do.

  4. Thanks guys! Madame Boulanger is tough to please. I don't have anything "suitable" for her to wear. What a snob. Some women are so hard to please!

  5. Madame Boulanger is awsome! I know she's supposed to be a villan, but I sorta like villans :). Although if she met me, I'm sure she wouldn't approve of me...

  8. Thanks ladies! Verona, I can't think of anyone she would approve of. But she has a soft side in there too...somewhere. Maybe Julian will bring it out in her. When the results of the paternity test are in, that is!

Grandville Summer Festival!

Hello doll friends, First up, I gotta show you this. My 4 year old was playing with my Barbie cast-offs and set up this little scene. (That yellow thing on the table is a TV shaped eraser.) Dig the lamp she made with a wedding cake and the pole from maybe a Barbie dress form? Adorbs. Anyway, this weather (raining pretty much daily for the last month or so) has wrecked my spray painting plans. Much of the royal storyline rests on this painting project. So for now I decided to continue the other stories I have going. Enjoy: "Ho-ly crap, what on earth are you wearing?" "Aw, Sook, I feel bad enough."   "Seriously. You are wearing khakis. You look cray cray. You're like somebody's mom right now. Please explain this situation." "My boss said my outfit was too sexy so I had to borrow something from Le Skater Dork over there at the cafe. Jeez, now I owe her one. Oh crap Channel 1 News is here."   "Thanks John. Lavita

Zee Gypsies!

I'm home today, the kids are at school (half day), so I decided to take some pictures with my little window of time. I rarely show the gypsies and one of you guys requested it, so here they are! "Hello, I am Carmen Kirpachi. Welcome to our home." "This is my husband Milosh." "Hallo."  "This is my brother, Franco. While his gaje girlfriend Josephine is in Paris, he's spending a lot more time with us." "Excuse me, I have to put some more wood in the stove so I can get dinner started." "My goat stew is Milosh's favorite but we need to get the pot hot first." "This is my living area, also known as Franco's bedroom. But we don't mind. The Romany love having family around." "Milosh says I drive like a fugitive so he doesn't let me drive very often." "But sometimes I put a glamour on him and he forgets how much he hates my driving." "

Introducing Nymeria and the Alurium Vaccarra

Ever have a couple of days off Facebook and though you wonder what happened to your friends over the long weekend, you can help feeling a little peaceful? That's how I feel in my week of staying off the blogs and forums and various sites. But I missed a lot! So many cool posts! It's going to take a while to dig myself out. One must wonder, did my creative spurt have something to do with not being all over the web looking at what everyone else is doing? Anyway let's get to it. So on my birthday, my three Stardolls arrived! Aside from the outfit, that Paris one was not cute. I dunno, she's too boring looking. But Iris was THRILLED that she got a new, dressed doll. Well for a few minutes anyway. Did you know that they can't bend their legs? Like they can't sit down? Terrible. Anyway, the other two were great! Inspiring. Meet Valentina. A Columbiana who restores classic cars. She was very happy with a Liv body. She might be Nadia's next girlfriend, w
