Oh Don't Look So Suprised

Well, in my last post I mentioned my other obsession, overachiever housewife stuff/manic organizing. So I've been on the housewife blogs and started how to update and improve my Home Management Binder.  There are templates for everything, grocery shopping lists, daily, weekly, monthly schedules, Xmas shopping list, etc.

I started working on making schedules for everyone in the house, planning menus, etc.  Fun stuff.

Then I get to work and can't remember what doll thing is on order. What is the address for my trading buddy? I want to place an order on The Doll Page and I can't remember who I ordered with on Doll Divas so I can give the new person a reference. What follows is a manic search through my various email accounts.

Hmm, couldn't I use some templates to organize doll world? So I decided to create a few.

Feel free to do whatever you want with them. If you change and improve them, let me know. I just threw them together so they may need changing once they are in use. Let me know if you have any issues with them. They are Windows 7 docs so let me know me know if you can't open them. Let me know, let me know, let me know. I guess I say that a lot.

I'm excited about working with them. You know me, I've got 6 crafty projects going at once.

I may create some kind of a scheduler later. I'm working on couple of reroots, so those will be on the Doll Customization form and a couple of doll vehicle projects so that will be on the Doll Projects form, so I may need something to bring it all together. Maybe a simple calendar...We'll see.

Okay back to my hiatus.

  1. Oh, but I am surprised! That break was shorter than Jay-Z's retirement. Those are awesome lists! I'm not a list person, but if I were, I would be using all of them. I do have one small suggestion. On the Doll Inventory sheet, having a space for date purchased might be good. Enjoy your break! See you in a few days. LOL.

Introducing Ayumi

I haven't been feeling particularly inspired with stories in Grandville, but their plastic lives are being led, with or without my story telling. And I have to practice my photography so instead I'm going to do a Cliff Notes if you will, of what has been going on in Grandville and who all these new characters are. First up, Ayumi. I might give her a new name at some point. I hate keeping the Integrity name but sometimes it just happens. She is a Korean supermodel who uses her funds to support her research as an astrophysicist. She got her Ph.D. at 18. This is Ayumi's house. Well, one of them. This is Ayumi's boyfriend of 10 months, Raj Nirvana. He's a yoga instructor. They have a harmonious relationship. Still, she wonders about that girl Marie. They seem to do a lot of talking after his yoga class. Ayumi loves hanging out with her girls. Nothing quite as fun as a day of shopping. Claire sighs, "How weird to have a bank account. ...

New Goodies!

But first, some news: Projects: Still working on the studio space for Remi and Bailey. The Hubs came in and voiced what was in my head, "So where is that kid supposed to sleep? That's messed up. There's no room for him?"  The last thing I wanted in Grandville is a kid's room. I don't want this rated R world changing into something wholesome. Buuut, if there is to be a custody battle for Julian, I have to make the case, right? So on top of the studio space, I'll build a little room for the brat to use. Maybe I'll give it a fun theme or something. Space or sci-fi or something that doesn't involve sports. I'm also working on a space backdrop for Nymeria and her sister. Then I can finally introduce you. I decided to go with a sort of cheesy 60's sci fi movie thing. That's what inspired the Alurium Vaccarra anyway. So, a sort of intentionally cartoony backdrop. The last project for now is my high school. I wanted it to be a three-...

[in that spongebob narrator voice] Ten Years Later

Well friends, it's been 10 years!  I'm not sure if any of my older friends and followers still blog or still read blogs.  I've been in the BJD hobby all this time a while it was satisfying and helped me to grow a lot as a dioramist, the call of the 1/6 scale dolls called back to me.   It was hard to make stories for BJDs because of the limited number of characters and sets.  While I no longer have a town to make stories with, nor (hardly) any of my original dolls, my new collection continues to grow and some of them are just itching to tell you all about themselves.  But these heauxs don't even have names except for two.  So lemme get on that... Returning to this hobby feels a bit lonely. My doll community was here in the blogosphere, my BJD community was through youtube and Facebook. Where are you, racy playscale collectors?  Let's get back together!  Instagram feels unsuitable for my needs. I'll see if I can direct traffic here. Who k...
