Grandville Festival Part Deux

You know, I should never wait more than a day to post pictures I've taken. As I'm shooting, the dialogue is in my head but a few days (weeks?) later, it's all but forgotten. So I'm forced to rewrite what I am sure was comedy gold.

Anyway, let's give this a shot.

Last we saw Nikki and Judah, they were off to greet the Figueroas, Pia and Dani.

"You guys, this is Judah..."

"Are you seriously going to call Raven and tell her that her dad is boning Nikki?"
"Of course, I'm her best friend."

"But we promised!" Penny squeals.
"Those clothes are clearly poisoning your mind."

"Lavita Terrell for Channel One news back in Grandville park with Mayor Josephine Boulanger. Mayor Boulanger, what is your favorite part of the Summer Festival?"

"Well there is a lot to appreciate here in Grandville. From our mountains to the shore. And we are a truly diverse community. So for me, it's seeing all our interesting people out here, having a good time with friends and family."

"Are you ready, my love?"
"I'm not sure if I can do this Rai."

"You must my darling. I'm right here with you."

Dani gasps, "Is that--?"
"Yup," Pia replies.

"Dani," Hanna greets. "I thought I might see you here."

"I did a horrible thing to you...and Felix. I know it means nothing but I am so sorry. I know you can never forgive me but know that I ache with remorse every day of my life. I don't blame you for burning down my studio."

"What? I didn't burn down your studio. I'm not the sort of person who would that to someone. Anyone. Not even an enemy, let alone a friend. But we were never friends, were we Hanna?"

"Of course we were, since boarding school. I guess I was always jealous...and sickened by your goodness. I wanted to crush you."

"Do you think we could ever try again?"

 WAP!

"You bitch, I will kill you!"

"Rai, calm down. I deserved that."
Lots of cursing in Portuguese.

Hmm, this Dani has more balls than I thought, thinks Pia.

 It. Ain't. Ovah.

    1. It's about time! Hanna has stolen all Dani's boyfriends since high school! Glad she's standing up for herself.

  2. Oh, Shizz! I thought it was about to be a whut? - a girl fight (now that song is in my head)

I love how Hanna is all supplicant but basically accuses Dani of arson and says her goodness was sickening. I'm surprised she's not smacked more often, lol.

  3. Sorry you forgot your ‘comedy gold dialogue’ (I know the feeling, ha-ha!), but this was pretty good (Portuguese swearing – ha-haaaa!). Glad you added ‘this is not over’. I need to see how things pan out.

Grandville Summer Festival!

Hello doll friends, First up, I gotta show you this. My 4 year old was playing with my Barbie cast-offs and set up this little scene. (That yellow thing on the table is a TV shaped eraser.) Dig the lamp she made with a wedding cake and the pole from maybe a Barbie dress form? Adorbs. Anyway, this weather (raining pretty much daily for the last month or so) has wrecked my spray painting plans. Much of the royal storyline rests on this painting project. So for now I decided to continue the other stories I have going. Enjoy: "Ho-ly crap, what on earth are you wearing?" "Aw, Sook, I feel bad enough."   "Seriously. You are wearing khakis. You look cray cray. You're like somebody's mom right now. Please explain this situation." "My boss said my outfit was too sexy so I had to borrow something from Le Skater Dork over there at the cafe. Jeez, now I owe her one. Oh crap Channel 1 News is here."   "Thanks John. Lavita...

Introducing Ayumi

I haven't been feeling particularly inspired with stories in Grandville, but their plastic lives are being led, with or without my story telling. And I have to practice my photography so instead I'm going to do a Cliff Notes if you will, of what has been going on in Grandville and who all these new characters are. First up, Ayumi. I might give her a new name at some point. I hate keeping the Integrity name but sometimes it just happens. She is a Korean supermodel who uses her funds to support her research as an astrophysicist. She got her Ph.D. at 18. This is Ayumi's house. Well, one of them. This is Ayumi's boyfriend of 10 months, Raj Nirvana. He's a yoga instructor. They have a harmonious relationship. Still, she wonders about that girl Marie. They seem to do a lot of talking after his yoga class. Ayumi loves hanging out with her girls. Nothing quite as fun as a day of shopping. Claire sighs, "How weird to have a bank account. ...

Ugh whatever. Just, here!

Folks, lemme tell you, I am so tired of my little big project. The big stuff was easy (spray painting and such). That was over weeks and weeks ago. It's been the small stuff. And I'm still nowhere near done but I'll do the rest in Phase Two (Bailey and Remi's wedding). I miss my dolls so hard. I have two new beauties I haven't even taken shots of. I have pretty new clothes that just sit around, unworn, unappreciated, unphotographed. Stories untold! All for this shizz. Before: And today, Grandville's food truck, Enchanted Eats! Lights! "Lavita Terrell here for Channel One News, Grandville. I'm here with Mistress Ava Stronghold in front her food truck, Enchanted Eats!" "Mistress Ava, food trucks are so last week. Why bother? What makes Enchanted Eats different?" "I've got to disagree Lavita. Food trucks have been around as long as humans have had markets. They're just taking a new form. I thin...
